A NOTE FROM THE DOCTOR:
*****************************

Hi, I’m Dr. Peter Kan.

What am I looking for?

Experience in a front desk position in medical/dental/chiropractic or similar is preferred, but not necessary—I am looking for experience answering phones, greeting patients, checking them in and out, collecting payments (you can have NO problem talking about and handling money.)

As far as office skills, you need to be able to type at least 40 WPM. You need to be proficient in MS Word and Outlook and have basic knowledge of Excel. Experience with video editing and YouTube is a plus and graphic design helps.

We do some insurance, so this is not really a coding and billing position but a working knowledge of how insurance works helps.

Really…this is more of a Customer Service Position. I’m looking for someone who can reach out and communicate with people over the phone and in-person. You must have excellent verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.

Heck, even some sales experience would be in your favor.

I want a person who will be a great ambassador for the practice. Someone who wants to change lives.

I do a lot of work with Functional Medicine and Nutrition and I treat a lot of people who are really sick. So….

I want someone who is….
• Smart
• Can anticipate
• Warm
• Confident
• Mature
• Self-starter
• Takes initiative

Let me speak frankly for a second---I don’t like to manage people. It’s one of my least favorite things to do.

Here’s what I do like...to show someone exactly what they need to do and how to do it. Have them learn it very quickly. And me NOT micro-manage them.

To apply for this position, you’ll need to send me two things:
1. Your resume
2. Your written answers to the following questions:
• Tell me a little about yourself.
• What do you do best?
• How would your previous employer or co-workers describe you and your work?
• What is it that you enjoyed most in previous positions?
• What is it about this job that’s attractive to you?
3. Email these materials to: peterkandc@gmail.com

Want to “cut in line” and have your resume looked at first?

--->FAST-TRACK APPLICATION PROCESS<---

• Email your resume to peterkandc@gmail.com
• Make a video in which you answer the questions above-- post it to YouTube and then email the link to: peterkandc@gmail.com
• Your resume will be reviewed first.
