Assisted Living Facility needs outgoing, dependable Unit Supervisor for our Alzheimer's Unit. This is a working position on the floor with residents and caregivers.
Duties include:
- Planning and organizing the daily program
- Leading and participating in the daily activities with the residents
- Continually learning and educating the staff and families on dementia and alzheimers
- Supervising and training care staff
- Conducting ongoing resident assessments and invidualizing service programs
- Helping care staff with all aspects of care including meals, grooming, changing, and cleaning
- Communicating with families and outside health agencies
- Creating and managing monthly activities calendar
Position requirements include:
- LPN preferred, but not required for the right person
- Prior working knowledge and experience with dementia/alzheimers

- Ability to work 10:30 am - 7:00 pm with some Saturdays and be available by phone or pager 24 hours/day, 7 days/week

BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers (2010 Guidelines)
This is a course for healthcare providers who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. It covers adult, child and infant one and two rescuer CPR, use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) and relief of a foreign body airway obstruction in the responsive and unresponsive adult, child and infant. Skills also include the use of a bag-mask and other barrier devices.
This class is for a 2 year cert. thru the American Heart Association
